This section contains hints and tips for using Tools > XML Filter Settings to create new
filters.
Flat XML filter
There are two different ways to get OpenOffice.org to output Flat Xml files:
1. Using the method from the SDK (See http://api.openoffice.org/ )
2. Using Tools > XML Filter Settings
Outputting Flat XML files and importing them is fairly straight forward with the built-in tool.
The following is a step-by-step procedure that will let one save and open flat XML files:
1. Click on Tools > XML Filter Settings
2. Click on New
3. Enter any settings as shown in the following illustrations:
